It just seems to me that the sexual revolution has gotten out of hand. It used to be that you didn't have sex with a person unless there was an emotional attachment as well. Now it seems as though it is nothing but a cheap thrill. A party thing! What about commitment, and loving someone enough to plan a life together? Geeze, even the ugliest girl in the third grade isn't a virgin anymore. Where is it all headed.

About virginity, I told my daughter years ago that she had a very precious gift to give. The only problem is that you can only give it one time to one person. PERIOD. Today she is happily married and the mother of two. Thank God!

Not only reading history, but having lived during 65yr of it; I can tell you that life changes are like the swing of a pendulum.
I have watched many occur and they all go from one extreme to the other before they manage to settle into center swing
of balance....During the 50/60's moral ethics were very strict, and mainly derived from religious standard in the USA.
Today we see the extreme opposite in morals and ethics of sexual behavior as anything goes....Eventually all will settle into a intelligent attitude of healthy social ethics. Every social change takes time to adjust...(IE: civil rights &wemons lib etc)

No more commitment. No more anything. Things happen too fast and too young. Look around you. Parents are not parents anymore. They are just a generation behind the children and they are teaching the same things they did. Where is it all headed you ask? Look around. Look at the crowded highways. Look at all the housing being built. Look at all the people. Remember sex makes more people and they just dont go away. You make one they are here for a long time and they make more. The next time you see someone pregnant check for a wedding ring. Chances are you wont find one. Thats where it is heading. The cheap thrill that keeps on growing.

I don't know the answer to this one as it has puzzled me for quite some time.

Sex has become an afterschool "sport". A cheap thrill and off to the next team member.

I guess the Internet has a lot to do with what is happening, BUT I think the parents need to be more aware of what their children are doing.

I can only hope it all turns around.

I know what u mean. Its all because of the media base i guess. They didnt think about the effect of them showing sexual scenes on televisions. I'm so sad and embarrassed especially with girls who just cant value what they have. Virginity is something precious. For me, its my pride and dignity. People now are just being too selfish. Sex isnt everything. But people are too blind to see how meaningful it is.

I wouldn't say that people's morals are declining but that people have become more selfish. Even as they become parents it is about their time vs time and structure and rules for their kids. Kids with no structure do what kids do the test the limits of their lives.
I would say stand by your own beliefs and keep them strong. Don't give into what others want, think, or feel. Being true to yourself is important.

I wanna party with YOUR friends cause it's not that loose around here.

That "ugly girl" in the third grade; first off, she is a he. Second, there's a few teeth missing. It helps him get dates. Hopefully he will find a rich guy someday that'll wisk him away from West Virginia.

I hate to see where it is headed but us people have to stay true to our beliefs because there is still a few of us people who do believe in faith and commitment. We only have to live for ourselves let the rest of the world deal with the mess they have made.

I think as people mature the tend to develop morals and values. Maybe the people you hang around with are too immature to have a sense of morality
