Is it normal for a teenager to have a HDL lower than LDL?.Recently i had going through a medical check-up and the result of my HDL is 0.96 while my LDL is 3.12.i noticed that my HDL is too low.Can anybody give me explaination...thank you

Go to webmd and look in cholesterol there should be a normal reading for the HDL LDL and triglycerides...
Low HDL is not good because that is your good cholesterol and it carries the sticky plaque away...

In this age you must not go for the robust test like these as due to hormonal variation you can get abnormal results like these.
Why did you had this test done?
Did you have any symptoms related to heart or HTN.
There must be a sound reason for having this test run, it's has now become a symbol status to have a lipid profile checked just for nothing.
Treat your self normal and continue leading a normal life.I

Why was the test done? Unless there's a history of familal hyperlipidemia, there's not a compelling reason to check it until later in life.

Ignore "Ashley". He posts under multiple names and cites wacko pseudoexperts.
