I'm afraid to feed my kitties anymore, do you know if Whiskas is still safe? There are so many brands out there contaminated now, it's awful! My cats are doing alright on Whiskas so far, but there are more reports of tainted food every day, I have been thinking maybe I should cook for them for awhile until things straigten out? Do you cook for your kitties?

Spicy Ketchup, I do already buy ready made food, I am worried that there are 100 brands or more that are contaminated and being recalled. I feed them Whiskas at the moment....

Cats and dogs need a variety of raw meat with a balance of organs and muscle meat, with some vegetables & grains, minerals, vitamins and a balance of fats.

A friend of mine who is a cat breeder feds her cats, a mix of organ meat such as heart, toungue, liver, turkey, fish, chicken wings/necks, kidneys and muscle meat, with the fat left on, and bones.

She recommends that you break up the chicken bones a little, especially if the cat is not used to raw feeding.

I don't have her recipie as such, but I found a really good recipie for you.

I use a mix of raw feed and quality cat pallets, for my Manx cat & recently adopted Calico kitten.

Yes, we cook for both the cats and the dog these days.
We give them what ever we are eating, as long as it's not too spicy and without bones. Chicken in pieces, rice/pasta, vegetables in the friar pan, cheese, what ever you can think of.
I'm also still using Whiskas and Kitekat, box food, but not much.

I can't give you a recipe, but I can tell you that Whiskas and Sheba brands are not tainted.
