One provision of the Patriot Act provides that those who aid and abet terrorists can be held indefinitely without the possibility of review by any court.

The Patriot Act also provides that the government may now listen in otherwise private attorney-client conversations.

Most of the terrorists found so far have been foreign citizens. As foreign terrorists, they have no rights under the Patriot Act to review by any court.

So, if the foreign citizen is found to be a terrorist, shouldn't the US lawyer helping him to wrongly benefit from our laws also be held criminally liable and held without bond or review by the courts?

Finally, shouldn't anyone assisting illegal immigrants be jailed, since as noncitizens, they could be considered as "economic terrorists"?

To be completely fair, we would only jail lawyers with clients that clog our immigration courts with worthless cases and are eventually deported.

Would you vote for such a law?

Aren't the U.S. jails over crowded enough? lets face it despite the fact that illegal migration is not right, it is still not a crime that warrants jail because all illegal immigrants are not necessarily criminals. But lets keep it real the only reason that illegals are even imprisoned is because the prison system in the United States in now the number 1 money making business. I believe that deportation in itself is punishment enough especially for one that has been culturally simulated therefore unless they have actuallty committed a crime against any state of the U.S. jail is unnecessary.

Yes, I would. It is just a big game to this government and I really think that THEY think that most of the American citizens are stupid. The whole point to all of this is the desire for the North American Union...which is WHY Bush (the reason why I say Bush is because HE is the one who is choosing which laws he is wanting to enforce) supports SOME enforcement of laws, while totally ignoring other parts of the same law.

The following is an overview of federal law on hiring and harboring illegal aliens.
Summary
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization or local government) commits a federal felony when he:

assists an alien whom he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him to obtain employment,
encourages that alien to remain in the U.S., by referring him to an employer, by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime.

Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

YES!!! Since it IS, and has always been a CRIME to sneak into this country ILLEGALLY!!
And, since those that help them ARE "aiding and abetting" in a CRIME, they should be arrested and jailed!!
