no, it isn't possible.
if you lose more than 1-2lbs a week you are losing water weight and muscle not fat plus you are dramatically slowing down your metabolism which will make losing weight in the future even harder.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

The maximum rate of safe weight loss due to diet and exercise is 1-2 pounds per week. This translates to about 10 pounds MAXIMUM in 5 weeks, and even that is pushing it. 5 pounds is a much safer goal.

It is certainly possible to lose or gain weight unsafely. People can lose up to 10% of their weight in water within 1-2 weeks--just look at stories of people who get lost in the desert. Obviously, this is quite dangerous, and many diet schemes do just this. In general, anytime your weight changes more than 10 lbs in 4 weeks, it is more likely to be shifts in water storage.

Be safe and realistic. Besides, even if you lose "just" 5 lbs, that amount of lost fat is the size of a large cake!

Update:
Let me disabuse you or anyone of fasteasydiets.com. For starters, other than being a complete bunch of crock and a lame attempt at advertising on this thread, body fat is actually stored as a neutral molecule, not an acid or base. Yet another attempt to throw pseudo-scientific gobbledygook to sell you what you want to hear.

It's possible but not without surgery. You should talk to your doctor to discuss dieting options. At most you should lose 2 lbs per week in order to remain healthy. At most you could lose about 10 lbs. Losing weight takes time and hard work. FYI 3500 calories equal a pound of weight. A person eats an average of 2000 calories a day. So, to lose ten lbs you could eat about 1400 calories of food a day and burn 400 calories a day exercising. Once again, talk to a doctor before starting so that you don't get sick. Diet, exercise, and muscle training will burn the most fat.

Possible but extremely unhealthy, and she probably wont be able to keep it off for long and that will do nothing for her esteem let alone health.
5 weeks is enough to get started and see some positive changes, so encourage her and help her but take the emphasis off being able to fit a bikini. Choose an acheivable goal, and work on that. The holiday can be the reward.

The fastest way is to take the alkaline liquid diet.

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. If you continue to take acidic food, even with exercise you cannot get rid of fats. Therefore you must solve the weight problem at the source : eating acidic food. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats. Besides doing exercise, you must eat only alkaline food.
Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days. Go to the website below to see which food (and even fruits) that are acidic.

Yes it is possible.
Though the diet (or lack there of) would be too stressful on the body and would effect alot of things, including brain function! And further health problems down the track.
You can do it fast, without health problems, look some up on google and there is Opti-Fast or Medi-Fast I think It is called in America.

im not sure if its possible but losing that much weight sll at once is very unhealthy you will probably have to completely strve yourself and collapse from exhaustion. besides if you lose that much weight that fast then your skin does not have time to react and you end up with rolls of really saggy skinthat looks just as bad as fat.
