If you'rer talking about "contact" lenses...then you might be like me...
No matter what, my "eyeballs" refuse to accept anything "touching" them...even after months of wearing them...size, shape, progressive, soft, whatever...it doesn't matter.
I cannot wear contact lenses because my eyeballs say "Alert! Warning! Something is "intruding" upon my very sensitive eyes...
I've told this to "eye" professionals, but they seem to "poo poo!" the idea this could be "real."
Why is it so hard for some "professionals" to believe some people's eyes are "super" sensitive to contact lenses (or anything else) and that no amount of time will make them get used to it?
If you're talking about eye-glasses, ignore this answer...but I hate eye-glasses, too.
One of the next things I do in life is to get Lasik eye surgery...I'm tired of this whole "blur" phenomenom of aging eyes...
The price of the surgery has finally come down to a "reasonable" amount I can fit into my budget...
It will hurt my wallet, but I have always suspected that "clear eye vision" is directly connected to our "happiness" in life.
After all, if you don't "see" the world and the people in it "clearly," you won't see how beautiful it all is...(And I'm kind if a "tough guy" type...it was difficult for me to use the word "beautiful" without seeming like a...never mind, I don't give a !!!! about that anymore...but don't tell my red-neck friends...just kidding)

Progressive lenses have peripheral distortion areas, your eye care provider should've given you instructions on how to use them, you have to look directly at an object - with time you won't notice the distortion areas any more, it can take anywhere from 6-8weeks to get used to them!!
If you arn't getting used to them go back for adjustment or replacement lenses.
