I have a 2.3l 4 cylinder mustang. It only has 105hp. How much money and what all you think it would take to put it up to 200hp without an engine swap?

u can drop a 5.0 into this car . the best way is to find a wrecked v8 stang and swap out the suspension drivetrain radiator and wiring harness. u want to know a good place to learn how to do this? work at a sa;vage yard for a summer stripping cars. u will learn alot about how cars are put together. if u want to stay with the 4 cyl, improve the air intake and exhaust system . basic rules of hp are air in air out. u don't want the xhaust to be too free though. all the good aftermarket systems have the right back pressure designed into them.make sure ur engine is not too worn out as when u add pressure, ie hp, the engine will feel it.email me if u want to know more.and hp travels into the rest of the car.susp.etc

Answer the poor guys question please.

Guess what you are in luck. The 2.3 L SOHC 4 is a Formula Ford in waiting.

These guys in the SCCA Formula Ford and Sports 2000 ranks have been getting serious rev's and HP out of that engine for a long time.

Start your search with them.

Get a used turbo from Pick-a-Part from either a Mustang, T-Bird or Mercur

it probably wont last unless you get the whole engine

Why did you buy a 105 horse power Mustang? Was it from like the 30's? i'd sell it if i were you. It would cost Way more than what you paid for it. Id just buy a better car. Shelby GT-500

LOL, no your vehicle isn't supercharged. It packs a whopping a 88 HP. to placed that into attitude, the present Ford concentration makes one hundred and sixty HP. in case you imagine this vehicle is quickly, then you definitely've not in any respect been in quickly vehicle formerly, or have impossibly low criteria.

The cheapest HP gain is with nitrous. It can be tough on a engine though. Check with the Ford Racing parts and see what they recommend.
