Yes. It is mostly fat...but all dairy is perishable.

Yes. Because butter is made from animal biproducts it is an extremely perishable food. If you want to try something that wont spoil as quickly, you can try salted butter, which lasts slightly longer than unsalted butter, or you can go for margarine which lasts considerably longer. If you want your butter, but dont like how it gets all hard in the fridge, you can always whip it when you take it out. Works for me! And I love my butter!

Eventually it will if its left out for a long long time. I keep mine in a butter dish and it tastes just fine. But if it starts to taste like Blue Cheese, get rid of it.

Yes the fats in the butter go rancid. Most butter has salt in it to delay this process however, there are salt free butters that presumably don't keep as well.

Supposedly, becasue it is an animal by product. I have always left my butter out at roon temp without any ill effects, but I guess that would depend on how quickly you use it up!

Mine never has but it has melted into a blob of goo I had to get rid of. It tends to separate too if it stays out too long. Hope this helps!!!

it depends how long u keep it out. its ok for a couple days but it does start 2 get nasty tasting if kept out 2 long.
