Good vision is a vital part of feeling your best. We rely on sight more than any other sense to enjoy life to the fullest. Your vision changes naturally throughout your life. There are also three steps you can take to help take care of your sight:

Visit an eye doctor regularly.
Make changes to help yourself see better.
Take care of yourself.

Hi dear,

Like others I will suggest eating loads of carrots which is extremely good for eyes and for that good for glowing skin as well, eat veggies containing vitamin A, and for glasses, contact lenses are avialable now, wear them it is not so costly and would not distract your look, and do exercises by rotating your eyeballs up and down and from side to side 10 times daily and take the advice of a doctor, surely he can help.

You have myopia, this is a refractive problem and nothing can be done to improve it - it's there to stay. your lens doesn't direct the light onto your retina correctly - you need correction of those light rays by either glasses or contact lenses - No amount of carrots or eye excersises are going to do you any good!! Excercise will only help if you have accomodative errors (which is highly unlikely!!)

You can try doing exercises to improve your vision. I recently started doing eye exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.

My vision is 20/400, which is really poor.

I recently saw some improvement. Other people (who have also experienced improvements) have posted comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: http://improvingmyeyesight.com/blog

Hope this helps...

For starters till your eyesight improves please use contact lenses.
If you have to use computer or watch TV for long hours then use TFT LCD instead of CRT monitor or CRT TV. If you can not avoid CRT, reduce its contrast and brightness, specially brightness.
CRT's damage eye muscles.
Visit your nearest Optometrist (eye doctor) for eye drops and exercises.

The eye exercise recommended by many doctors is available at www.rebuildyourvision.com/

Is avoiding lenses a good idea? Do not be a fool. Consult a optician. If you have to take lenses, then you have to. Eye is a complicated organ, do not play with it by experimenting. What is that you cannot afford, (a) damaging your eyes, or (b) medical expenses?
