Need help! I am working in Abu Dhabi for the past seven months in one of the private co. here and got employment and residence visa sponsored by them. I applied in Etihad airways as a cabin crew and got shortlisted and I have to attend the assessment day. I am thinking twice if I should still have to attend the assessment day because Im thinking that I will just waste my time because they may not hire because of my visa status. I am just working for 7 mos. and my visa is still non-transferrable as well as my current sponsor are not giving NOC. Does Etihad consider these things? Do I still have the chance to pass? Should I still have to go to the assessment day? Thank you in advance for your advise!

I would suggest you to attend for the assessment day/interview as scheduled. It is an excellent opportunity, go ahead. As per the UAE labor/immigration law, it stipulates that if any employee has been selected by the Govt association/firm, the sponsor has to provide him/her with release. Since the airline is belongs to Abu Dhabi government you don’t have to worry anything. They will take care about the transfer of sponsorship procedures. Once you got the offer letter the things will be easy.

Try your best, good luck.
