It depends on which area of your body you'd like to tone
up. To flatten your stomach, there's what known as the
infamous "sit-up": try those in successions of 50 - 75 at
first and work your way up, month by month, to what you
decide is your limit, (or as near to it as you can endure).
For arms, there are arm-stretches: pull your arms behind
your neck, also in successions of 50 - 75 at first, and
they will build-up your biceps.
Or, also for the arms, there are "push-ups."
Last but not least, jogging (in place or in public) can't
hurt.
Best of health & good luck.

Skipping. All you need is a rope, and trust me you'll get more from skipping for 15-20 minutes than you will with most other exercises, why do you think boxers use skipping? It's not just for co-coordination but also for cardio fitness. Although, saying that it'd be pretty a good idea to do say 15 minutes skipping then once your heart rate comes back down, do some push-ups, sit up's etc. I think that if you do this for a good 5 -7 weeks you'll feel better and look better. Bear in mind this is no way scientific or researched but is just what I do. My partner and I take it in turns doing 3 minutes on then 3 minutes off for 5 times each making it a good 15 minute workout, going pretty fast and loosing breath etc, then we go for a 15 to 20 minute walk around the block. Works well for us........so far.

If you can exercise in a room with a reasonably thick carpet, then yoga is definitely an option for you. I bring yoga DVDs with me when I travel on business, so that I can exercise in my hotel room. I'd highly recommend Yoga for Surfers as a great DVD to get started with.

I do 200 sit ups, 50 leg lifts (for each leg) and I lift cans of corn to work out my arms. Laugh if you want, but it works.

My boyfriend likes to call them "burpies."
Simply stand up with legs apart and squat.
Remember to suck in your tummy. Believe
me, after a few you start to feel the back
of your legs and all those muscles you forgot you even had! Happy Burpie!
