I was asleep next to my girlfriend. In my dream I was in a eerie house. I started walking up the stairs when a dark figure appeared. Either I put my arms out toward it or it put it's arms out toward me. I then awoke and I notice I had my arms around my girlfriend and I jumped a little in which woke her up. The weird thing is that she had a dream before too, in which there was a dark figure present. Also when she had this dream, she was lying next to me in bed. It seems a little ironic that we both had a dream with this same figure while asleep next to each other.

I don't know what your dream means, but I wanted to share a similar experience.
A couple years ago my husband (then boyfriend) and I were sleeping. I had a dream I was camping with my friends at the beach. We were on the sand and I look out and see my boyfriends truck sinking in the surf. I swim out and he's in his truck and we keep getting pounded by huge waves, we're struggling to survive. The next day I told him about the weird dream I had and he just kind of looked at me and his jaw dropped. He had a dream he drove off a pier and was sinking with his truck and I appeared and tried to save him!
This was YEARS ago but we will never forget it because it was so eerie. It was like I entered his dream.
Anyway, no dream analysis from me, but just thought I would share. :) Maybe you guys are just soulmates.. :)

At the same time would be weird. Beyond that, "dark figures" and any other spooky unknowns are common, and probably come from the worries, and all the unknowns, we have in life.

What feeling did the figure give you? your girlfriend?
Was it a good feeling or an evil one?
I don't think its ironic. Depending on your responses I'd either think its a good thing or an evil thing.

The dark figure is a demonic spirit which has entered in your lives through sin. I do not know you guys well, but I do understand demons. They can only be present and have access to you when sin is involved. If it sexually immorality, impurity, lust, improper touching or any kind of unholiness, demons are there. Lord has allowed you to see into the spirit realm some things which your relationship has opened a door to.
