Why does everyone make such a big deal over Dale Earnhardt?
I'm puzzled!

I always see tacky redneck Earlhardt bumber stickers on cars and trucks.
So what, . he won some races. It's not like it takes talent to race cars. Give a person a few weeks of training and they could win car races too. The people with real talent are Actors, Musicians, Artist, Football, Basketball, Baseball Players. They don't hide behind a steering wheel and let a machine produce their talent.
I have an idea..maybe I could be talented too!
I can press play to hear Fleetwood Mac on my CD player.
Maybe then, they could put me in the media and news claiming that I produce great music. I could be called Fleetwood Mac! After all, I did use a machine to produce the music.

What made Dale Earnhardt earn the status of being great?

If you think just anybody can drive a racecar, you are sadly mistaken. It takes loads of talent and nerve.
Just the same as any professional sport, at the elite level.
You and I can hit a golf ball, but we cant hit it 300 yards straight down the fairway every time, or consistently sink a 25 foot putt. (Tiger Woods)
You and I can ride a bike, but cant ride 20MPH up the side of a mountain. (Lance Armstrong)
Most people can drive a car. Most of those very poorly. But only an elite few can drive 200MPH at the very limit of its performance and still be in control. (Dale Earnhardt)
Different people have different abilities, to say it takes no talent or skill, only shows you have no thought process or the brains to comprehend.
To simply push "Play" IS NOT producing or creating music. Those accomplishments do take talent.

OK! I'm going to try and NOT be rude. First off, Dale Earnhardt was the best! Do you know anything about drafting? I'm guessing the only thing you know about air is that your head is full of it! Have some respect for the man that died doing what he loved to do, He was a master! I wont even get into detail about how they build each car for each driver. They dint just go buy a car and go racing. You should publicly apologies to the Earnhardt family & fans!

Actors... sure they are talented if you consider that we are paying them millions of dollars a year to drive drunk and get arrested.

Musician.. sure their talented, but what risk do they take. Maybe a tuba to the throat?

Artist... sure their talented but what risk do they take maybe a paint brush in the ear?

Football players and baseball players... sure their talented and when they put the "juice" down their nads will grow back to regular size.

Basketball players... sure their talented if you consider being a drain on modern day society talent. Watching the NBA is like watching The Shaw Shank Redemption. Nothing but thugs and criminals.

We can find anything we want to find if we look hard enough. People are talented in different ways. Why not just respect people and what they do instead of looking for a way to insult something you obviously no nothing about.

Using your logic people who use machines to help them are not talented so.... Carpenters, computer engineers, doctors, nurses, contractors, farmers, dentists, electricians, and a whole host of other people have no talent. Doubtful at best!

Nice work!

It's funny how you're beating your chest today just because Kyle gained 14 points over Dale Jr. BFD. If you take average finishes (including top 15s) into account, Kyle hasn't done much better than Jr this season. Points don't lie. Give it a rest and try talking about Kyle Busch for a change. That is, if you can think of anything interesting to say about him.

Just for being himself. To me Dale was great for the simple fact that he took no $hi! from anyone, he was so unpredictable with the steering wheel in hand and nothing bothered him. He not only won races he helped make nascar better in the years he was there, he touched the hearts of many people and so many loved him.

I can't believe "you" are going to force me to take up for Dale.sr,i hate you! Dale and all nascar drivers are very talented.A car is just like a baseball bat or a football, those who us it best are talented in that sport.I do have to say Dale is the great one only because he is dead. Most nascar fans hated dale.sr before his death but will not admit it.He was voted most hated driver 4 times and favorite once(the year he died). But anyway nascar is one of the best sports going today!Rap is killing music,money/and heart is killing the NFL,ego is killing basketball, and baseball is in the juiced era.So give nascar a shot!
