should I do see a specialist or live with the pain so I dont get side effects of these meds now?

unfortunately it is a destructive disease as in it destroys the joints. If you have a confirmed diagnosis of RA, you should see a rheumatologist for aggressive treatment to prevent early joint destruction. staying away from the side effects of medicines will lead to early or late crippling, good luck
