I have a feeling someone is doing me dirty I asked to see the checks returned but he showed me some document in the computer how can I know if it really is from a bank.

It would probably only take someone minutes to create a phony bank statement.

Not knowing much about the situation - if you can request the bank to provide the info or not - all I can say is to keep requesting to see real proof, even if that means the person taking you with them to the bank and requesting a copy of a bank statement while you are standing there.

You should probably call the bank. They would no better than anyone if something got rejected. If the checks were not rejected than ask for a copy of them. That way you can take them to this person as proof that they did not bounce.
