Because America is a great country and Mexicans are intelligent people.

Actually, there's a theory called "push-pull".

The "push" is the collection of bad circumstances that makes people consider immigrating.

The "pull" is the collection of good circumstances that makes people choose to move toward them.

There are more Mexicans migrating to Mexico City than there are to the US. The same thing is happening in other countries around the world, and the biggest problem causing the mass movement is poverty.

Do you mean legally to migrate permanently or illegally to support a family back home? I guess there are two questions to that rather vague entry you chose .In either case I have no good answer since there are a million little reasons depending on each persons circumstances. I suppose the most obvious would be that America offers a better standard of living , it isn't nearly as corrupt and it isn't too difficult to do. I guess I don't care but to be honest I wish we could trade them all in for eastern Europeans, the girls are hotter and they drink liquor that doesn't give me a pounding headache the the morning .
And they don't play that crappy polka music. Or have too many kids. Or expect everything handed to them like they have been citizens of this country all their lives. Or keep 4 broken cars in the front lawn . Well now I'm just sounding like a hater. My bad.

Lalo G, what's with all these questions regarding Mexicans? Don't you like Mexicans? You shouldn't be so narrow minded. There are other immigrants in America, by the way, who are interesting.

Prior to the great depression they came here in droves to cultivate and sell marijuana. This threatened white America so we got the harsh anti-marijuana laws that are still in place today and much of the mexican population was deported. Things have not changed much they still come here to prosper and offer goods and services that Americans desire in exchange for a better way of life than they have south of the border

FYI becasue they want everything they can get for free. about 5 years ago or more i saw a show on like 48hrs or something where mexicans would come here and open US post office boxes and get on our welfare programs and medicaid and whatnot, then go back home to mexico and reteurn in droves at the first of every month to pick up their damn checks.

and about texas...we bought it from mexico. also, sure is convienant that now...all of a sudden they want it back. now that we're busting 'em on something that they're doing wrong. sure...you can have it back after we turn it back into the piece of tumbleweed it was before we made it so lovely. and you get no mineral rights or oil rights, because you wouldn't have done a thing to even find such things. yeah...convienant as heck. mexico...you're just crap...on a stick

Most to do honest hard work to give their family a better life. A few to run drugs and commit crime.

some of US mexicans are in the need of money, and some of us find it in the U.S

Is that a racist question?

For the welfare checks and the food stamps. Oh and for the free medical treatment at the expense of the American tax payer (me).
