It's a pit bill. I've never seen it sick before. It smells and looks like digested dog food. What can it be and what should I do? She eats Purina Beneful (dry food).

All I can say is I have a Pittbull 6yrs old ,eats beneful dry dog food ,but if she could not keep it down more than 2 days. Off to the vet I'd go! My dog does get sick easily can't ride in cars, can't eat grass, just gets sick out of the blue sometime.
So I'd give it a couple of days if no other symptoms.

Don't listen to all this crud on here about 'it's the food it's the food!' We can't say WHAT it is without examining the dog. People have good completey hyper since this whole recall thing.

Your dog does need to see a vet. It could just be a case of a sensitive stomach, but you need to rule out serious illnesses. Vomiting has a thousand different causes, you want to be sure it isn't something that is going to be quickly debilitating to the dog. At least ring the vets and see if they think the dog needs to be seen by them.

Seriously, vomiting can be poisoning, sensitive stomach, ingested foreign body, gastric torsion, cancer, a virus, gastroenteritis - do you get the idea? No one on Yahoo Answers can possibly give you a clue what it is, and we can only recommend one thing - the vets.

Did you know your dog is a meat eater, and kibble is mostly grains? Man made food is not natural and often has artificial colors and additives, If you buy meat, offal and small raw bones from the market it is cheap and you know that it has not been tampered with. Your vet will continue selling you kibble as they make money on the kibble and when your dog is sick. Look up raw feeding for your dog and convert it over slowly. Its the only way to have a healthy dog, regardless of what the person taking your money says. Good luck!

Listen, it could be nothing but an upset stomack or it ate some grass. try to feed her tomorrow if she throws up more than twice you could have a small problem. Then see a vet. See what happens tomorrow before you start getting your wallet drained by the vet. My dogs will throw up once in along while and there fine the next day. I recomend Eukanuba dog food. F_ck that cheap Purina crap. Good luck baby

Purina Beneful is one of the worst foods available..Next only to Ol Roy...Choose a kibble without corn or beet pulp..
Try a better quality kibble, and make certain your dog has been de-wormed.

She's probably near death because you are feeding her quite possibly the WORST dog food out there. Next to Science Diet, Iams, and Kibbles n Bits, I think Beneful is the most useless food of them all.

You need to do some food research and get your dog's insides feeling better. You don't even want to know what is in your dog's food. YOU WOULD BE VOMITING!!

that happened to my puppy couple weeks ago. He threw up and it smelled and looked like diahrrea. At first I thought it was diahrrea then I saw him throwing up. Since it was on a weekend night I called an emergency vet. They told me to bring him in anyways but I decided to wait 12 hrs to see if he gets better. He didn't throw up afterwards and he's healthy as he can be. But to be safe it's always the best idea to take your dog to the vet. Anyways, best luck to you and your dog

First of all, if you knew what "by-products" were, you would stop feeding it to your dog. You really should go organic, but in answer to your question, call your vet and tell him what's going on. The last thing is ... PLEASE protect others from your pit bull, you know those dogs have a history of being very mean!! If your dog is a girl and has babies, don't trust her, she'll be meanly overprotective.

Take her to the vet. If dogs eat chocolate, they die, by I think, vomitting.
