OK I'm gonna ask this again since I got a response from 6 evangelists who didn't read before they answered. I don't want a Christian text book response, PLEASE think about my question. WHat if Jesus wasn't God? What if the Old testament is misinterpreted? There are so many religions and indigenous beliefs that say the same thing. Love each other, love God, respect the earth, respect yourselves. What if you never had to kill a chicken at the altar to save your soul, as the O.T. says. Then that means Jesus came to teach us how to love and died showing just how far he would go to prove it. Just as he said love others as I have loved you, what more powerful way than to die? Than that means he was not the SON of God in a sense; but instead, God is in everyone and EVERYthing, and GOD is LOVE, and he just wanted to show that with example. Then we are all children of god, and Jesus was just a teacher. In this all religions who love go to heaven. Then he didn't die for our sin, instead to teach.

i agree a 100%.. he was a great guy with even better ideas... people built a religion around this man AFTER his death.... if jesus wanted a religion and to be worshiped dont you think he would have taken some time to write at least ONE thing in the bible? there is not ONE word in the bible that jesus wrote himself.

i dont think he was anything divine.. just a great human being.

It's a nice thought. Your idea has been refined into what is called the 'exemplary model' of understanding Jesus. basically, that he was a good teacher and person.

Ultimately, that doesn't square with the vast majority of what the first hand accounts of Jesus life, speeches, etc. say.

So, while it's emotionally appealing, it doesn't stand up to the facts test.

whether all of us had not sinned , Jesus could have died a minimum of via previous age if not via disease or coincidence .probable Christianity develop into not attentive to this easy fact.because of the fact the Christians have been and are telling that Jesus died for us , in spite of the undeniable fact that he develop into killed by the Romans, you're able to desire to remark on it .in actual fact that he develop into killed .Ones loss of lifestyles is different from ones being killed .possibly the Romans killed him for his sins .whether Jesus had not sinned , he could have died .however the Israelites in those days did not have that a great number of ordinary expertise . could desire to god die for any reason? if God died what could take place to the universe ?could it exist in any respect? did the international stop to exist till ultimately he resurrected ?

k, i can't even understand what the JWs think about Jesus being Michael the Archangel, yet you want me to think about him as just a teacher....and didn't die for our sins!! I just don't think I can wrap my brain around that philosophy..... that is the exact opposite of truth, the bible, and what I believe... If your situation was correct, we wouldn't need a bible to tell us that.

Jesus is one of us (actually millions of us) He mows lawns, does odd jobs, and runs from immigration. He is the reason you can afford grapes. Without him. grapes would be 100 dollars a pound

Then what would you do? Would you do as he asked and follow him? Try to be like him?

I think that's a great idea.
