God is great and powerful, there is nothing that He cannot accomplish. The Devil is a being of hate and evil that seeks to destroy all. God has the power to make the Devil cease to exsist, yet he doesn't. This is the same logic as a man who sees a snake attacking a baby, the snake being Satan and the baby being mankind, and just watchs the baby get bit repeatedly. Doesn't allowing an evil to exsist, when you could stop it easily, seem to be an evil act in and of itself?
So wouldn't this make God evil, or in the very least a neutral being?
I can't help but think this......he could make earth a paradise, but won't. can save children from murder, but doesn't. Maybe He said He won't interfere with man and just sets back crying at our pain because he won't go back on his word? Or maybe he thinks of us as his amusement?
Tell me your opinon on this subject people of Y!.......

This is a great question. To understand the concept of devil, we have to know how he came to this world, right? I will tell you what Islam says about devil. We beleive that God created mankind and Jinns, both creatures having free will and having the same purpose on Earth, serving God and being judged when the time comes. When God created Adam, He asked angels in Heaven to prostrate before Adam, which all obeyed. Among them was a Jinn, being of free will who refused to prostrate before 'a being created out of clay' arguing that he is a better creation since he was created out of smokeless fire. So it was that Jinn's will to be the disobedient one. Today we call him Devil. After disobeying God, he was ordered to leave Paradise and was placed on Earth, and lost the status he had earlier. Before leaving he asked God to let him mislead the mankind - this wish was granted to him, with promises of hell-fire to him and those who follow him. As simple as that. God never created devil with a purpose to mislead us, it was that Jinn's own free will - something God gave him when created him.
The way I see it, God allows good and evil because one cannot survive without the other. You cannot have charity without having poverty, you cannot have justice without a crime, you cannot have love without hatred being somewhere out there, you cannot have truth without a lie and so on ... The list is endless indeed.
I hope this helps you understand a bit. Have a nice day :)

God gave you the power to think on your own. You are not a baby, you are an adult and sticking your hand into a snake's mouth is just stupid. God isn't here to stop your stupidity. He allows you to do what you think is right while continually telling you what right is. You choose to listen or not. Satan also had that choice and chose not to listen to God but to try and usurp His throne. Satan is on limited time and will end up in hell for the rest of eternity. We are all eternal beings meant for heaven but most of us will choose to ignore God's warnings and live an eternity without Him. If God took away choice we would all be robots, not human beings with a desire to either serve and praise Him or reject Him. You make the choice, God does not cause you do sin or do evil, it's all you. Nor did he cause Satan to do evil. That was all Satan. You have free will. You can thank God for it or you can use it to blame Him for all the world's problems. Make your choice.

Good cannot exist if there were no evil. Love cannot exist without selfishness. Pleasure cannot exist without pain.
Logic forbid this. God understands how insignificant the time of our existence on earth represents in the whole scheme of things and knows what we can endure.
Many children have hateful thoughts about their parents when things don't go their way, when parents prevent them form doing things that are inappropriate for their age, when punishment is administered, etc. However, the actions of parents are generally beneficial to the child in the long run.
God loves us all. He seeks our love and created us with that ability. He has, however given us all a choice, which is essential to achieve his purposes.
It is not uncommon for someone who is ignorant of all of the facts to reach false conclusions like yours. God has provided us a great manual . . the Bible . . . that gives many very good answers to your questions.
God is neither evil nor neutral. In fact, the lukewarm form of faith makes him sick (paraphrased from the Revelation). If nothing else, God is faithful . . . to himself and to us.
How many parents have seen their children go through trials, that to the child, at that time, must have seemed unbearable? Parents watch over them but do not interfere, knowing that the child will come through that trial stronger and wiser. We tend to look back on some of those times with amusement, even though we weren't laughing then.
God's ways are higher than our ways. God's understanding is higher than our understanding. God's love far surpasses our ability to love. God's companion makes us seem completely lacking in compassion. You are a lot like the angry child who cannot comprehend the actions of the parent.
If a child remained angry his whole life, what a miserable existence that would be. Get over your anger toward God. Open your eyes, your mind, and your heart to the truth. God has provided the answers; just be willing to learn.
God bless you, my friend.

Trust me God is restrained by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ work. We are taught through the Word that it is not Jesus desire that any should perish, but all come to the knowledge of who God is. When He return it will be the last straw afterward He will deliver the Kingdom of Earth back to the Father. See you must understand that when God removed His sovereignty from this world He was not to ever interfere with it again because He promised Himself. The flood was God dealing with a unworthy people. But this time instead He has given all power unto the Lord Jesus. Trust me when I say you best be thankful for Jesus. Because it would be a terrible thing for the world in it wickedness to fall into the hands of God right about now.

My mother always told me not to question who GOD is or why HE allows such horrible treatment of us, HIS children. Now that I've lived a few more years I figure it's like this. Yeah HE can do whatever HE wants to do. That's the great thing about being GOD, and no I'm not here for HIS amusment, but to praise HIM and WORSHIP HIM. When I forget about me and my troubles and truly put GOD first and thank HIM for all I do have, then maybe I'm right where I'm supposed to be and I can start seeing others for who they really are and pray for them to see what I see. It's all very complicated. Who knows? and then sometimes I think we are just here for now and then one day we will just cease to exist and in 200 years who will know that I wrote this or that I or You even existed. Only if there is GOD, then HE will know.

I am not upset about your question. It's just people have to learn God's ways. He has certain rules, laws, and principles which He Himself will not violate. The problem is that God does reach out to people and try to provide them with answers so they won't get snake bit. But because the ways of God offend people and they would rather sit in their misery. The Lord will not force Himself on anyone. If you do not want any part of Him He will leave you alone. But that means you will be left with that snake to bite you all day. But when people are ready to think it over. He will be there waiting by faith.

Suffering is the result of human sin. The world is not the way that God created it and because of that, all are vulnerable to the affects of sin in the world.
Why does one person suffer and another does not?
Why do catastrophes happen to some and not to others?
It is because sin is in the world.
But there will come a day when the Lord will return for his church and cleanse this world of all sin and all suffering.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).
The Lord Jesus told us in Mathew 25:41, hell was "prepared for the devil and his angels."
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Matthew 25:41

This question has been asked over and over again. I disagree with the statements you have posed as fact. God is not evil. The "devil" is not evil, nor a being of hate. Where did you get that from???
God set up a system by which we all reap what we sow. It's fair and shouldn't be altered. Look into the universal laws of karma and reincarnation and it may make sense why "bad things happen to good people."
No one is innocent and all are accountable for their actions. Seems fair to me.

As a Christian, I struggle to understand why things happen the way they do at times. I also know that God is not evil. I dont know why He lets innocent people suffer. I think that there are some mysteries that will never be revealed but God has a reason for all that He does.

This is an old question: the Problem of Evil.
a. God, in his patience, waits before destroying evil and evildoers.
b. The Bible, in many places, speaks of a time when he will completely and finally do away with evil.
c. He has begun this process with the Cross of Jesus Christ - when Jesus rose from the dead, he demonstrated that death had no power and that God had power and authority to undo evil.
peace.
