Hey - hold on a minute! You have to go thru the missionary lessons before you get the the heavy doctrine.
The short answer is Yep - you'll be taught that in the Temple Prep classes where you're not actually prepared for what happens in the temple. That's a whole 'nother topic.
But there are caveats with the ascension to godhood: you don't actually get to be a "god" as much as a "mother in heaven" since all the important positions in the universe go to male priesthood holders. You get to make "spirit children" for all eternity, and while it is unclear exactly how this is accomplished, the church teaches your resurrected body remains "functional". This may be a plus depending on your predisposition.
Did I mention that you must be married in the temple for all time and eternity before the god stuff? Or that Joseph Smith stands at the literal gates of heaven (not St Peter - he's been retired) waiting for the special handshake? Actually, your husband makes the handshake, then "draws you in". I'm sure someone here can fill in the details. You'll be part of a harem of 'sister wives", which is how polygamy comes into the equation.
I'd look a bit closer at the pitfalls of becoming a mormon if it's the godhood notion that propels your interest. If your not familiar with their culture, best to find out all aspects of this cult, uh, sect. It is completely different beneath the surface. Not diabolical, but certainly "odd".

It all depends how you look at it. If you are saying will they say " This is the way to become a Goddess." or "This is about Kolob.", than no. But it could come up in a disscussion.
If you are talking about keeping the LOrd's commandments and knowing what the commandment are, than yes.
Of course the way to become like God or to become a Goddess is to know God and know his commandments. By teachng you the commandments and how to live them, they are teaching you how to become like God.

This topic is a deep theory, it is only a theory.What really matters is what one does now to live like Christ. Every religion has it's deep roots in areas the many (including it's own members) don't understand. For example, the catholics now say that hundreds of years of teaching about "limbo" is not doctrine and the Limbo really doesn't exist. And that Babies that aren't baptized can still be saved, even though they couldn't be before.
Why don't you try to understand something you know nothing about instead of "opening you mouth and removing all doubt".

You could just read what Jesus says in John 10:34.
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
If you want to know about Kolob, just read hymn 284.
. If you could hie to Kolob In the twinkling of an eye,
And then continue onward With that same speed to fly,
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
2. Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”
3. The works of God continue, And worlds and lives abound;
Improvement and progression Have one eternal round.
There is no end to matter; There is no end to space;
There is no end to spirit; There is no end to race.
4. There is no end to virtue; There is no end to might;
There is no end to wisdom; There is no end to light.
There is no end to union; There is no end to youth;
There is no end to priesthood; There is no end to truth.
5. There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
There is no end to being; There is no death above.
There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
There is no end to being; There is no death above.

When you go to an LDS church, you learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you want to learn about Kolob, all you have to do is read the third chapter of Abraham.

im not a mormon,but am related to some that go to a mormon church.they never seem to be knowledgable about the bible.only their own texts.
ponder this...do you know why rats continue to eat rat poison?because its 99% food.but the rest is still poison....the lords prayer works good for this topic..give us this day,our daily bread which is the word of god...if you dont read it in the bible,it is not true and will lead you astray,which is evil.
they cant corrupt the incorruptable,which are,the true believers of gods word.through faith we are his and we are protected.see ephesians 6:10-18. mormons will say wisdom is a goddess,but she is not.mormons will say kolob is the closest star to the throne of god,and they will say many other things that arent in the bible.do not be decieved!! ask a mormon to explain why there is no mention of these things in the bible,and why none of the prophets,which are very numerous,and none of the great religous writers of the bible,which are numerous,knew anything about kolob or that wisdom was a goddess.
they will also tell you there is a prophet living right now within their church....did you know he was voted in? voted in? come on!
who am i to say...i feel guilty just for speaking this way.but its offensive to god.

Perhaps if you wasted less time criticizing others and more time studying the scriptures you would find the truth.

I don't think they give you that stuff until you are in the system for a while... but not being part of the cult I can't really say.
