It usually takes some months to make all the arrangements.

The first thing you should do on US soil is apply for veteran benefits. You're entitled to TAPS class, and you're entitled to apply for disability.

I got 30% of my base pay for the rest of my life for disabilities I didn't know I had. If you've served your country, don't worry about taking the money. You deserve it.

Yes, like Icmcpa says, please just come home in one piece. We'll be glad to have you back. The process can take two weeks to four months. Start tying up loose ends now. It could suddenly go really fast. When I mustered out with a hardship discharge, it took three days total. I was very grateful for how fast everyone helped.

I'm sure the buddies you leave behind understand that the strong carry the weak. I hope they get you out quickly.

If this is for real why aren't you talking to your personnel nco or JAG. They are the ones with the necessary information, not some internet lawyer wannabes.

Thank God you will not die or be maimed in Iraq for Bush's lost cause and ill begotten oil money scheme. The government moves slow, but you now have a life to live so wait and be patient..

There are people out there that really need this chapter but somehow I think that you are faking the funk. Please leave the service, we do not need punks like you, and get your money and run.
