My explanation will probably sound childish, but I'll share anyway. When I used to teach RE/Catechism, I used to explain to the kids this way:
God is as essential to our spiritual lives as much as water is to our bodies. (I got no argument on that.) So, if you look at water, it has three states: solid, liquid, gas. In either state, it's still water.
God the Father: Ice: Our "rock."
God the Son: Liquid water: living water; the "word."
God the Holy Spirit: Vapor: Invisible to the eye but ever present.

Is God three separate entities ?
God the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
All three were in separate forms at the same time – Jesus, the Dove and the Lord whom Jesus was speaking to.
If so, then this concept is clearly a Trinity and a Trinity cannot ever be called monotheism. Unless you can call the number 3 a number 1.
It took 451 years (after Jesus) for the scholars to decide to make the Trinity the foundation of Christianity.
If the Trinity is the foundation of Christianity then can anyone explain exactly what it is ?
God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

A Christian recites the "official" explanation in most of the creeds, but the trinity is an inherently illogical concept cooked up by ancient theologians in order to make the religion sound more mysterious and profound.
And, of course, thanks to this idea, countless people have been killed through the years. It's thanks to the idea of the trinity that Islam split off from Christianity (since it's more or less a mixing of native religion with the Arian heresy, which was a group defined by being heterodox to the trinitarian docrine), so you can blame that little nonsensical statement at the end of the Creed for all of their violence, too.

By describing what ITS NOT. For example, too often a person trys to say " How can 3 equal 1?......That is a contradicion! Its a mathmatical contradiction! BUT THATS NOT WHAT IM SAYING!!.
Its not "How can 3 persons = 1 person"
Its "3 persons = 1 God (nature/ essance)
Let me give you an example of the contradiction,
"How can 12 football players = 1 player?? (this is wrong)
12 football players = 1 TEAM (this is right).
DEFIN: In the being that is God, there exists 3 "persons", namlely the Father, Son and Holy spirit.

There are a lot of good and simple answers as a response to your question. But remember that we will never fully understand how God is Trinity. Christians gather that God is so by the way God reveals God self in Scripture namely as, Father the Creator, His Incarnate Son and the Holy Spirit all being the initiative of the one God. God also reveals a signature in what God creates such as how a person is constituted as being body mind and spirit in the one individual; or in relationship as in husband - wife - offspring; or in the state such as the chemicals associated with water.
These are only hints to what is Mystery afterall which the human mind can only begin to conceive.
Thank you for your question.

The True Orthodox Christian Definition of the Trinity:
One God who eternally exists in three different persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all of whom are fully God, all of whom are equal.

The Trinity of God
M't:3:16: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
M't:3:17: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
GOD IS A SPIRIT, GOD BLESS

I was told by my Pastor many years ago that triune would best describe who God is in the Person of The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. And we don't have to describe it. I suppose you were trying to be funny in your misspelling of The Holy Spirit. Mock on you perverse generation. You will be sorry!

It's really quite simple.
It's just like how I am a Son to my Mother, a husband to my wife and a father to my son.
Or if that doesn't help try this.
I have a Mind (God) a Body (Jesus) and a Soul (the Holy Spirit)
