Wow, you need something else to think about. Since the cats were abandoned (she's dead, so you could say she left them alone), they would be taken to the animal shelter and evaluated. Depending on how long this took place, the cats would probably be humanely euthanized, because I can't imagine that human flesh is a nutritionally complete diet for a cat. Now I'm getting weird........

Because the old lady is not there to feed the cats so the cats eat the only meat they can find in this case the old lady!

first of all... cats would tolerate hunger for around a day or two... By that time the body would start decaying and giving off smell... forgot the tought of eating that meat... the cats wouldnt even go near to it !!!

You've been watching way too much CSI, my friend.
The only cat that was reported to have eaten it's owner has been a Russian owner's lion and a cheetah in SA. No domestic cats.

give them something for indigestion, and send them, to the pound for adoption in a home with no one old : ) I
Its not like they planned on her dying, and them getting hungry. I'm sure they'd have been happy with the fish in the fish tank, the mouse in the cage, the bird hangin from the ceiling.... Just being animals.

I think that they die from old lady poisoning. I never heard about old lady's cats living, being sold, or killed after wards. So they must die together!
