The absolute best way is to increase your muscle mass by doing strength training. The more muscle you have, the higher your basal metabolic rate.
Also, aerobic exercise will increase your metabolism while you are working out, and continue a lower burn for a couple of hours afterward.
Lastly, eat five or six small meals/snacks a day, two to three hours apart.

Eating every 2 hours by snacking on healthy food... such as vegetables, granola bar, fruit, etc... and drinking mucho water (at least 8 glasses)...

exersize and eat small meals every 2 hours. It worked for me (but I am fat again because I don't follow my own advice) LOL.
