In my studies I have looked at hundreds of these kinds of incidents. I see this as Magick unless all of those saying there was such contact are liars, and I choose not to accept that kind of explanation.

"Coincidence" is ego's demand to remain autonomous. As you know, these events are not only common, but universal. We all communicate telepathically. Without telepathy, there could be no language, thus no civilization.

Ego insists that we are no more than brain and bone, but there is "something" within, and all around us, that we all share, and all know. This something we give many names, but it has one love...us.

It does not matter what one calls it...you use the term, "Magick". The point is, these events are indeed evidence that some deep connection exists in and through and as, all of us, as one.

I know from my own experiences in life that this type of thing truly happens and much more often than most think. For some to accept the belief that this is happening means they must accept many more ideas that either make them very uncomfortable or that thier religion just might be wrong about a great many things. So it is easier for them to just dismiss it as nothing. Whether or not it would come under the heading Magick is up for personal view. I personally tend to just accept it from the Goddess as a wonderful blessing without labeling it. Blessed Be.

Could be that people, in the power of grief, look for a connection to their lost loved one. Could be a true experience for them even if it is factually inaccurate.

Of course I have my own story that is similar involving a death and an eerie coincidence. I remember it happening, I believe it happened, but I am open to the possibility that my profound grief has impacted my recollection without my knowing.

Minutes after my mother died of cancer I reached into the small pottery jar where she kept her angel cards (small cards with a single inspirational word on them) The first card I pulled out was 'Delight'. Seemed sucky so I put it back in and mixed them up. Out came Delight again. I mixed them up a third time, very well and for the third time pulled the same card. Delight.

Sometimes there is a, bond between the parent and the child. Like a connection( As stated) or being on the same wavelength.
What we need to question is, was his 20 year old son thinking of his father at that time when he was wounded?

My Mother and I have a special bond. We have had things like this happen through-out my life.
This one may seem silly, but it is completely true.
One time my Mom and I were playing Trivial Pursuit (Canadian Edition) and I read her a question, it had something to do with a city in Canada.
She didn't know the answer and told me (as a joke) to think it in my head and she would read my mind.
So I thought Ottawa (the answer was Montreal) and I know for a fact i was not mouthing anything etc.
She suddenly said "It is not Ottawa, it's Montreal!"
I got really freaked out by this, but it has happened for a long time.
I can't explain that away as coincidence.

This is simply a manifestation of confirmation bias.

When your kid is away fighting a war, you're going to be thinking and worrying about him or her quite often, so if the kid dies, there's a significant chance that you'll be thinking about him or her at that moment.

Unfortunately, people tend to read into that more than simple chance, even though the laws or probability say this sort of coincidence pretty much *has* to happen fairly often.

parents.. have a SPECIAL connection with their offspring.

i remember once.. my grandmother was watching my daughter.. and for no reason.. i started to worry about her almost to the point of tears.. so i called my grandmother... she told me that she went to wash her car in one of those automatic ones.. and my daughter got scared and was really freaking out....

a mother's instincts? thats all i think it is.. i dont think its magic or magick... its like a spiritual bond... when you are around someone enough to begin to feel connected to them.

and other times... you dont. i was VERY close to my cousin. he was like my dad or bother... and when he died.. i had no idea...
