Yes, it's gonna hurt. In fact, considering the high concentration of nerve endings in the penis, I would think it's gonna hurt big time.
I don't have a tattoo on mine, but I know a few guys who do. Trust me when I say it's not a turn on... and the tattoo can look really strange when its owner gets turned on.
Personally, I don't see the point in getting one there. It's easy to get infections in that region, it's gonna hurt, it's gonna be difficult to find a reputable artist to do it for you, probably will be expensive and bleed a lot... and it's just not attractive. Besides, unless you plan to run around naked all the time, the only one that's gonna see it is you and whomever you sleep with... assuming you leave the lights on, of course.
If you insist on getting something tattooed in that area, consider something on the front of your hip or even on your upper thigh... that would definitely be more attractive than a tattooed penis, would probably hurt less and would generally be easier to have done.

Just talk to a tattoo artist, & don't listen to these fools, I think I heard only one decent answer. Any tattoo will hurt, the degree depends on the person & the body part, a good experenced tattoo artist should be abvle to tell you everything you need to know, & it wouldn't hurt to look online. Just shearch for penis tattoos, there will be galeries, good & bad experences, after care, & alot more good information. Take your time & find out as much as possible before you do it. I was so happy I did that before I got my clit hood peirced, & I am soooo happy with it becuase I was well informed.

Depends on what you imply by means of backbone - only a small component to the tattoo going throughout it or all of the manner up the backbone? Right at the bony side of the backbone it's painful and variety of vibrates the entire frame. Off the backbone is not so dangerous however you can observe you have got nerves in humorous locations. If you're getting a tattoo all of the manner up the backbone, I could advise having the artist begin on the backside and paintings the their manner up. Start on the such a lot painful spot first to get it over with. It's no longer insufferable however no longer excellent both.

wow despite the fact that this is the tattoo section, there's a lot of crummy answers. anyway...
during the tattooing, you will need to remain erect (obviously). i imagine it'll hurt more than a fleshy part like the butt, but if you stay away from tattooing the head, you should make it through ok.
personally, i think a penis tattoo would be hot :)

Besides, who would see a tattoo on a penis? I think the better question would be to ask tattoo artist if they even want to tattoo on anyone's penis!

i am pretty sure that would cause a lot of pain, and from a girls point of view if i found out a guy had a tattoo on his penis i wuld be sooo turned off, dont do it!

Dude, don't do it! I don't know anyone personally that has done that, but I know of someone that did. He's a friend of friend. Well I guess there were complications and he still couldn't get it up 9 months after he did it. It's so not worth the risk.

Ouch.... I don't have one to tattoo but I personally wouldn't...When you ask "does it hurt" - if you think about what a tattoo is...yes, it is going to hurt immensely.
