Wow! You have absolutely gotta try this! =)
Coquito
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
1/2 L Water
15 oz Cream of coconut
12 oz evaporated Milk
14 oz Condensed milk
4 Egg yolk
2-3 sticks Cinnamon
1 L White rum
Mixing instructions:
Boil the cinnamon sticks in the water. Take the sticks out when the water is yellow and has the smell and taste of cinnamon. Add the evaporated milk, condensed milk and egg yolks and cook at low temperature. While it's cooking stir to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the pot. When it is boiling for a few minutes, add the cream of coconut and rum. Stir well and take off the burner. Let it cool and it will be ready. Keep it in the refrigerator and it will last for a very long time.

There are so many. The best thing is to go to a book store and buy a bartenders book. A paperback will cost about 7 bucks. There you can see all of the kinds of drinks, glasses, garnishes that are fun and good to drink. Wine is easy, A safe duo is a Chardonnay and a Merlot. Add a pino grigio and maybe a Cabernet. Vendange is a good inexpensive brand.Vodka is so versatile. Any juice will work. By a Kahlua and some half and half and, Voila!!! White Russian. Do the book. I recommend "The Complete Bartender" by Robyn M. Feller. I think that I even saw one at Wal Mart. Good luck and have fun!!!

Martini is the most elegant vodka drink.
A screwdriver is popular but not elegant.
Wine can be many things. I would stick with a French red if you really want to impress but a white is more popular with women.
Choose Grey Goose for the biggest Vodka snob appeal.
Have fun..that's what its all about!

I tend to prefer white wine, some people dont believe a true wine drinker can prefer the white, but anyhow, I like sparkling wine with some sweetness and one that I LOVE, is Deinhard. There are a few different kinds, but I like them all. There is also two red wines that I enjoy that taste great with a nice meaty dinner (red meat especially) and those are, Masi (there is more than one, and they are all good, kinda dry but a nice floral taste) and another is Penfold.

I like champagne.
Veuve Clicquot and Perrier-Jouet are really, really good!
You can get Veuve Clicquot for $45 (here) at a Whole Foods.
I'm not sure how much Perrier-Jouet costs in stores, but it's pretty pricey at restaurants.
