i draw blood for a living, when i first started out there was a women with lupus in the hospital, and she had very bad mouth sores. the doctors told me it was caused by the lupus. but mouth sores can be caused by alot of things.

I don't really think it is a symptom of Lupus, but it wouldnt hurt to ask your doctor about it. You could have a vitamin deficiency. Take Lecithin, and Lysine....they help prevent cold sores.

I have Lupus and I havent had any flare ups for 11 years. Although I do tend to get cold sores a lot.

There are many reasons for mouth sores and yes lupus is one of them. Stress or just being really tired and run down is probably a more common reason.

Could be... when you have lupus, your body is more prone to infection. See a doctor... they could be cold sores which are easily treated with an OTC medication. But remember that your immune system is comprimised when you have lupus, so proper medical care is a must.

Or tension or acidic food...lupus is a stretch. Check it out if you want but everyone gets mouth sores.

i dont think so. mouth sores are usually herpes that surface when ur immune system is down.
lupus occurs when your immune system is over active.
