2-4 eggs (depending on how big you want to make it) a few tablespoons of milk *you can use water, but milks better* whip the eggs pour it into a greased pan on medium heat. when the eggs are done, no longer runnythen add your ingredients onto ONE side of the omelete you can put anything in an omelete....chicken, ham, turkey, cheese, tomatos, black olives, cooked rice, asparagus....whatever floats your boat my dear. You don't really need spices either maybe some salt pepper basil simple thingsl ike that but i just use veggies and stuff, dont get me wrong i use spices all the time you just dont really need one...after youve put everything in it fold it in half...you can even buy an omlete pan that has two sides and you put eggs in both sides then put the veggies on one side and close it and it folds it for you...i have one and love it i got mine at marshalls for like seven bucks

Technique is as important as ingredients.

Beat eggs as 20cm omelette pan (24 is OK) is heating. you can use any saucepan but the edges need to curve 90 degrees up for best result.

Add either a little cold milk or water. Cold. It is important.

Place a knob of butter. Spread it around.

Ensure the pan is medium hot and the butter fully melted before putting the beaten egg in.

As soon as you pour it in, use a spatula to break up the bottom. This gives it volume.

Not too hot now.

Quickly add ingredients. Cheese is nice. If you want taste, go cheddar. But mix in mozerzerella for texture.

Angle the pan 45 degrees up. Either tap or gently push the egg towards the edge and get it to curl over. Think of it as rolling instead of folding.

Do a few times until you get it right. You can always eat the result.

Omelettes, hmmm, yummy. Ok take an egg, whip it with a fork(or whisk) and add a little milk, touch of salt/pepper,
blend with fork, add other ingredients, stir in, and pour into pre-heated, greased(butter, olive oil, Or?) frying pan. (I prefer non stick pans). Use a small pan for one, a little bigger to serve two.. Added goodies, 1/ chopped ham, onion, and green pepper 2/ broccoli 3/ mushrooms crushed cooked bacon. Pre-heat to Med, then when it is in the pan lower slightly. Leave it to sit, check that ingredients are well dispursed. If you cook it too high it will get too brown/burnt, could stick, and your ingredients might not cook well. I like to put a lid on my pan, half-way
approx. with a bit of water added to the pan. Table spoon
or two. this will steam, with lid on for couple mins. and cook the top of the omelet. I also find the omelete gets fluffier. I like to add cheese(grated or sliced) at the end, on one half, then I fold it over in half. Some people flip the
omelete before adding cheese, to finish cooking the liquid
if its still watery. And/or to brown it, if served w-out cheese
Try cheddar with the ham, and swiss with the brocolli. also cut the broc. small, at the florets, into 1/4 to 1/2 in cuts
happy cooking...

If you like bacon or cheese in your omelet make that first. Then a good way is to start with three eggs cracked into a bowl.Next you should try to do your own thing adding spices. After your done mix it up with a spoon. When your done mixing put on a pan for 450 degrees. Let it sit there until the edges on the omelet look good. Finally lift up half and put your bacon, cheese, or both in there and close it.Then serve it to who ever

Basic? Just whip 3 eggs together and pour into a small hot skillet coated with melted butter or cooking spray. When it's more solid than liquid, flip it over and slap a slice or 2 of cheese on it. Fold it in half like a taco, and you have a cheese omelet.

I use nutmeg on my eggs and a pinch of cinnamon or more if you like more plus meats and vegetables. Instead of milk Paula Dean said a splash of water makes the omelette's fluffier so that's what I do now.

well you could make a basic ham and cheese omellete with green onions or not if you don't like them. you could put mushrooms as well but just mix the ham sliced up when you beat the eggs then you melt the cheese on top.

I use olive oil for health reasons although butter taste better. A little milk makes them fluffier. Cheese and/or onions are very popular. Dear sausage, peppers, mushrooms, galic and pico de gallo are very popular.
