LOL! I just finished teaching one!

The standard Adult CPR class, no AED or First Aid takes about 4 hours, and has a 20 question test.

You can find about local classes from your local chapter. Try http://www.redcross.org to find your local chapter. Some even have an on-line catalog!

A CPR class takes about 8 hours, if you haven't done it before. There is a test at the end [written and demonstration] and you must pass it to get your card. No, your instructor will not be nice and pass you anyway.

I took CPR for my old job. It took about 2 hours. Yes there is a test at the end to get a card but it is easy. Just make sure you listen to everything the instructor says.

i just signed up for a "civilian" (not for medical personnal) cpr class in calif. Its 4 hours long and there is a test at the end.
