I made turkey bacon today. The package said smoked but also said to cook it for a minimum of 4 min. Max number of minutes I didnt' catch. You can get very sick from undercooked foods. The turkey bacon will start cooking with little bubbles filling into the bacon as cooking when time to turn it over then will do the same on other side... take it out. It does not need to cook as long as regular bacon but don't eat it raw.

Maybe just one piece. i have a friend whom does this all the time. She is the mother of six children, and starts each day with at least one piece of raw bacon. is it a southern tradition, as she says she started this raised in the south.
She seems to be fine, very friendly, although I can't get by a few nibbles. Boo.

Unless it has been prepared in a certain way it is dangerous to eat it raw.
There is pork shashimi. But the meat is of a special grade.
