Is all flirting Cheesy?

What does this move mean? Is it flirting?
A guy I really like walked past me and pointed at me with both hands...like a sign for a gun, pointer out & thumb up. And he gave me a huge smile. I thought it meant "You the man!"...but I'm a girl so what is the guy telling me?
And No I don't think he's going to shoot me.

Well, I'd guess he likes you. But he's probably a pretentious arrogant jock type.
