This is called the "photic reflex". You are not alone. Stand outside a movie theater on a bright sunny day and watch as people come out and sneeze. You can use it to your advantage. If you ever have that feeling where you have a sneeze that is starting, but wont come out, go look at a bright light and you will sneeze.

Believe it or not, you are allergic to sunlight!!! No kidding- there IS such a thing, and a LOT of people who don't know it- have it!!! Unfortunately- there's NO real "cure" (unless you want to move to Oregon or spend the REST of your life indoors- & THAT'S no fun...)... But, at least you know why you sneeze- & you'll have something to tell people that they probably didn't know... :)

According to this site: http://www.dankarran.com/sunsneezing/ , basically it happens because, due to your genetics makeup, "the signals from your eye to your brain are somehow also received by the part of your brain which deals with the sneeze reflex".
So basically, somehow, when you see an increase in light intensity, your brain somehow turns on the "sneeze signal", he he :).

I don't know why, but it happens to many people. I do know that it is a natural reflex. It's not something you can control, but try putting on sunglasses before you hit the sun.
