Every time Jesus said, "It is written..." he was quoting from what eventually is called the old testament.
You have to remember too Jesus was on the clock. He only had three and a half years to get everything done. He left the writing to the apostles while he did the doing.
He had 100 some prophecies to fulfill found in the OT. OK! So some fulfilled by being born , but many other during his ministry. Again, not much time for writing.

Correction. Actually, the disciples didn't write the Bible; the Roman government compiled the stories, histories, and testimonies from the grandchildren and others, and decided from the available texts what would become the Bible, and what wouldn't. Many books were thrown out, {the ones that told more of the gnostics}, and of the many a few were chosen, then they decided how it would be interpreted and wallah.... Christianity in a can! What's funny is when the government couldn't murder off all of the first Christians, {the gnostics}, they decided to adopt the religion, combine it into the government, and use it to control people. So Jesus was sorted, checked, categorized, packaged, labeled, and shipped out to the masses!!!

whilst Jesus replaced into alive, the Bible had no longer yet been cobbled at the same time by making use of mortal, fallible adult adult males. That wasn't finished till the Council of Nicea in 325 advert. So, to respond to your question, Jesus did no longer have a Bible from which to evangelise.

Jesus studied and taught the Old Testament. When he was tempted by Satan in the desert He quoted Scripture. He said to the Devil "It is written." He spoke many times about fulfilling the Old Testament prophesies. The New Testament was not in existence at the time of Jesus ministry.

You seem to be very confused here. The Scriptures He, a Jewish rabbi, was preaching from then are the same Scriptures that Jewish rabbis preach from today. Their Holy Scriptures (they don't call it "Bible" -- that's from Greek) contain the same books that Christians have in their Old Testament, plus a number of others called the "deuterocanonical" books ( lit. "second canon"). These include the books of Wisdom, I and II Maccabees, Tobit, Esdras, and a few others whose names I can't think of right now. These are also called the Apocrypha.
Jesus didn't come here to write books -- He has people to do that for him! He came to seek and save the lost, and to BE God in the flesh to us, and speak to people who needed to hear that forgiveness of sins was available for them. Most of all, he came to humanity in order to be the once-for-all sacrifice that would atone for the sins of the world.
I think that's quite enough to do in one fairly short lifetime, don't you? And besides that, since the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are the three Persons of the single Godhead, who we believe inspired the writers to write, then it IS the Bible "according to Jesus". You can have it in your hands any time you like, if you care to read it and learn something from it.

He was busy talking!
And I guess He wanted others to give an account, so you have more than one testimony....if He wrote the books Himself, then you would only have one testimony of a self-biography....
He referred to the Old Testament quite a bit, and taught Parables explaining things so some who believed could understand, and those who don't believe wouldn't want to listen.

Jesus occasionally quoted from the Hebrew Scriptures, which were the only Bible that existed at that time.
