But then, spoke to man through Jesus?
And we, today can know Him through His Word preserved for us in the scriptures.
(To him who has an ear, let him hear)
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"

"Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God,is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Hebrews 1:5-8

It's not MY words; it's God's Word.
"And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail." Hebrewa 1:10-12

If that's true, then why did the church say that there would be no more additions to the bible, which puts an end to any and all future prophets?
I am not a biblical scholar, but I don't think that Jesus said that god will no longer talk to prophets. This was purely a man made decision by the church, and how can man make such a decision for God?

No.
The ancient prophets were a combination of moralists, poets, and revolutionaries. They were very xenophobic, and most of them sat around blaming foreigners for all of their country's problems and urged people to back off for fear of invasion.
Remember that many of these books were polemics written after the Babylonian invasion.
Some weren't even about "prophecy" in the traditional sense at all (i.e. moral teaching and political views). Daniel, in particular, is a veiled reference to the Greek warlord Antiochus IV and the Greek religion, which the priest class of the day found distasteful because it threatened their grip on power.

Yes and it was written down and later fulfilled and still people refused to believe. The Jews did not believe The Savior had arrived even though The Old Testament told them everything they needed to know. The same is true of people throughout history and the present.

Isn’t it exciting that the appropriate being of all area and time could % to bare himself in straight forward terms by way of the mouths of human scum. God Whisperers are maximum narcissistic and cheating people in the international. whilst in comparison with them, all politicians are Saints. ------ Edit -- Is there a secret handshake and password that is going alongside with revealed fact? Why is it that God can in straight forward terms be 'understood' in strategies that can not be understood in the certainty-based international? That extremely is a handy thank you to maintain people from noticing the guy in the back of the scenes, huh?

God, The Almighty, speaks to us daily! We only need learn to listen.
The Holy Bible speaks to those who will listen (So few, these days).
Blessed be those who (can) hear the Word of God and His Son, Jesus, The Christ!

and he still speaks thru prophets the last 2000 years preaching of His 2nd coming.
Christ said, I shall send unto you prophets and scribes and some of them ye shall slay and persecute...etc. we had a prophet of God in our day named william branham(1909-1965). His website is www.branham.org
you can also check these sites out www.leevayle.net, www.daysofthevoice.com, www.bibleway.org, and ww.messagedoctrine.com
it said nothing can be added to or taken away from the prophecy of the book of revelations. that is the book it speaks of, not the bible

What, were you there?
EDIT: dude, you do this on every "question" you ask ... you post a statement (not a question), one that is completely lunatic, and then spend an hour posting individual insulting replies to every responder, often mocking their screen names. It's been said to you before, but you are still no poster child for "Christian" ideals.
Your hillbilly genes are so transparent. You're a regular Fred Phelps!
