I'm in exactly the same boat as you!

When I was 14 I was in a car crash and hurt my back seriously. I'm recoving now though and I would like to exercise more.

I'd suggest you ask a physio to give you some strengthen exercises using a swiss ball.

Also swimming is good. I don't like swimming through because i'm a bit self-consciences. We have a pool at my Dad's house so I go swimming there a bit.

You can also start by walking just on flat surfaces. Remain a good posture.

You could also try yoga.

I'd try swimming and water-aerobics. With the water supporting your weight instead of your spine, your back will hopefully be less of an issue.

consult a neurologist for sought out your back problem (you have't mentioned in details) if its spondilities or back bone-spinal cord related and your doctor is better to suggest if you can under go muscle tone exercises or wait until you are fully fit and ok to do it...
