Why don't all the homosexuals get the Ted Haggard cure? Why would they choose such a difficult lifestyle?

if you were to get a message from God that we have misunderstood the Adam +Eve story and you are
to tell all guys from your city that from now on they were not to have sex or "sexual relations" with any woman

and you have a step program for them to stop doing it..but not always to stop thinking about it....and they also have to start having sex with the same gender...how many would abide?how about if you tell them they would go to jail/hell if they do not change immediately?how about persecution?

Lots of groups have suffered difficult lifestyles for their practices and beliefs, jewish and christians for example. They continued--why not just change to paganism?who likes to be spat on, have nasty things said about them?be throne to lions?--I'd think that changing would be so much easier than being stoned, hung,etc. Thank goodness these became acceptable!
If being Austrian is unpopular, why not announce to the world how German you are?

Anyways,
lots of gay people say that they have tried sometimes horrifying methods not to be.Honestly I do not think the methods even like Ted Haggard's work just looking at examples on news+talk shows. They may have kids and all that but those people look like they are acting.
