Definitely depends on the quality and design of the tattoo, but I generally love tattoos! Why shy away from doing something because there is a chance that you might regret it in 30 years? What if you don't even have 30 years left?

If you want one, go for it. Never mind other's opinions. Just always consider this: if you have any doubt in your mind about a tattoo, don't get it. It is permanant, and you don't want to look down one day and be like "Awww...... why the hell did i get that done? I don't like it anymore, its not what i thought it would be, etc...." Of course, if you are 100% stoked and ready for one, then enjoy!

I have two tattoos (got at two separate times) that form one tat: a blue dolphin (1) with a pink hibiscus flower (2). I wanted it on my right outside ankle so it would be easy and cute to show off when i wanted to - shorts or capris and flip-flops - or easy to hide when the occasion called for it - long pants or skirt. Needless to say, i love mine.

Here's a tip i've heard that makes alot of sense to me. If you've found a design that you really want as a tattoo, make a larger picture of it and stick it to the wall or frige or next to the computer screen so you will look at it often. If after a month or so you still love it and want it, rock on! But if you get tired of seeing it and lose interest, what does that tell you?

Love them. Have one. Want more! The sagging you are letting stop you is about placement. If you find a spot that is less likely to that shouldn't bother you. Mine is on my ankle, can't sag there until WAY WAY later, and at that point I wont care if it's saggy. I will still know what it's of and what it means to me. How old are you? Wait how ever long you want to but don't worry about the little things that tattoo haters use as ammo for against getting tattoos. Happy tattooing!

It's a totally personal preference but there are obviously things to consider first. Where to get the tattoo? Do you want it to be seen only on weekends (ie at the beach when you're wearing casual clothing, like swimwear or singlet top) and not visible during work hours, then don't get one on your forearm, neck or ankles. What kind of tattoo should you get? Males who get skulls, snakes, devil etc are a little too 'out there' for my liking, too much attitude sometimes. But a simple armband is really macho on a nice muscly arm. I tend to think that women are judged on their tattoos more than men, which is a shame, but you really should consider what type of message your tattoo is giving off to strangers, and do you want this for the rest of your life? Some of my best friends have tattoos, even my husband, but I will never get one myself. I change my mind too often - and tattoos are forever! Never get one when you're drunk, and make sure you go to a reliable tattoo studio. Good luck with your decision!

If you get a good artist,
a tat can last a life time.
They are fine art if done well.
Take care of them. Most
people let the care go, after
a while..big mistake. The color
will fade, if you are out in the
sun too much. Use Sunscreen.
They are a big investment and
should be thought of as such.

Well, it really depends on the person to me, what it is you'd be getting, and where. I think tattoos can be a really interesting and creative way of showing who you are, but also seriously take time to think, "In 5 or 15 or maybe even 30 years, will I regret doing this?" because tattoos are pretty mich permanent, unless you can afford the laser removal surgery. Hope this helped!

I just got my first one and it was a nice size one,but I got to make my tat, and it stands for something, as they say it will come to you one day ,don't get it out off a book or off a wall find some thing you like art, what ever, and go with that and when the time comes the right one Will come for you.... I was told if you had to look at the tat wall,or out of books some one has it,and you really don't know what you wait get creative about it... my son is 12 and for 3 years now he has told me what he is going to get.

I think tattoos are a great way to express yourself and I think when it's done well it can be inspiring and a beautiful form of art. However I think that the more tattoos have gotten popular the lamer some of them get, I dislike when people get tattoos without really thinking about it or when they get something because it's trendy. I also hate when people especially girls get tatoos all over on random parts of their body, when it looks better to get a larger more cohesive piece.

I think that if you get one make sure you get something that really reflects you and that is done by someone who is talented, don't worry about getting older because it's not like you'll be strutting around shirtless or whatever then.

Go with your heart. If I was getting one I would think about what tattoo I want, and then draw it on me with a sharpie. Then I would go around with it for a while and see how I feel. lol, I know it sounds stupid, but at least it comes off. During that odd experience, I would see if I really want one. They're cool on other people, but I'm not getting one. I don't feel like marking up my body because I hate scars and marks. Good luck with your decision.

A small one is ok in a place you can cover b/c as someone mentioned, they portray a negative image. As you get older you won't care so much about looks. How many people are going to see your saggy parts anyway lol !
Although the bible says don't put marks or piercings on your body.
