Well the answer is no and yes. Green tea alone is considered good for the body because it contains antioxidents which help your cells avoid aging and oxidation. An example is if you put a piece of an apple on a table, after awhile the apple begins to turn brown which is a sign of oxidation. Green tea help to slow this process. However when you are speaking of processed and packaged items, you have to consider what ingredients are added to the product. Arizona tea adds sugar and other ingredients that are not beneficial to the body. Sugar for one short circuits the immune system. You can also tend to feel tired after you crash from the sugar rush that you temporarily experience with high sugar teas and soft drinks. Buying green tea from a chinese store or health food store will allow you to maintain the benefits that it offers and you can flavor it anyway you like to avoid the artificial flavors, colors and preservatives that most canned drinks contain.

The sugar is bad for you. Even the green tea in the bottled is not that good.
Green tea contains catehins - they give the antioxidant and weight loss benefits.
A study conducted by USDA found the following:
100 millimetres of regular green tea contains 127 milligrams of catechins.
Decaffeinated brewed green tea contains only 56 milligrams, less than half of the catechins found in an original brew.
Flavored brewed green tea has 43 milligrams.
Disappointingly, bottled green tea has only 12 milligrams.
Loose green tea made of very young tea shoots has the most catechins and tastes the best. The link below contains further information.

I'm not aware of any bad side effects but I suppose "too much" of anything could cause some problems. I use Cinch Energizing Tea Mix which includes a blend of green, red, and white teas and has a huge number of benefits. A cup of green tea should contain 15 to 30 mg of caffeine, but it should also contain theanine (an amino acid that calms) and it counteracts the effects of caffeine. Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.

Anything with sugar added- reduces it health benefits. Still, green tea with sugar is probably better for you than soda or coffee or anything like THAT... So GO for it- if that's what you like...
