If you don't want to hear what we think, then do us a favor and don't ask a question. Or are you just trying to be another boorish sarcastic comedian?
Sounds like you are looking for a clever way to hurt someone. In which case you should be locked up as intent to harm is just plain EVIL.

If your wife (or husband) can not discipline themself, and their actions are destructive to maintaining a "constructive partnership", explain to them how their behavior is destructive. If they understand that, then you are on the same page, and be patient (you have to compromise also). If they don't understand that, then you guys are not well partnered except maybe for sexual reasons. If they understand but are unwilling to change themselves, then they are just immature and selfish and being disrespectful of you. The bottom line is you are partnered with someone to make the burdens of life less burdensome, not more. If they don't want to be a "fair partner" then find someone who does.

Depends on the child. Every behavior is a conditioned response. The thing you need to realize about discipline is that it has nothing to do with the act itself.

It has to do with associating the bad behavior with negative conditioning. You have to make sure the punishment fits the crime. You have to be dilligent, follow through, make sure you're calm and collected, make sure they understand what they got in trouble for, and most importantly be consistent. If not, then they see you as abusive because you're flying off the handle.

...You err greatly if you strike your wife.
...How about doing what the Lord God says? Try love and kindness. The Lord tells us 3 times in Ephesians 5 to love our wives, so I recommend you work on loving your wife.

If you treat a woman with respect then there is no need to discipline her. Some people never figure this out...

FIRSTLY: I discipline myself about what kind of discipline I demanded from her;
SECONDLY I supervise her to do what the discipline demanded!
THIRD I still love her inspite of all her faults.
This is the method practiced by Jesus and me!

How about being really mean and leaving her. Yeah, that'll really show her and it definitely won't leave any marks on her or get you in jail.

I don't think it's as easy as training a dog.

Try talking to her.
