I don't think I have ever eaten an entire loaf of bread at one time. As per your question, if you are able to eat a whole loaf of bread it's probably because bread has a lot of air in it - you can squeeze a loaf of bread into a baseball sized lump. Lettuce is full of water and is more dense.

lettuce is a whole food.
bread is a processed food.
like it's already partly eaten (ground up) from the natural state of grain and even cooked to further process it.
processed foods are easier to eat.
which is why most of us are overweight.
if you just eat whole foods (veggies, fruits etc.)
you can't eat as much so you don't get so fat.

If the bread replaced into raw, unbaked dough, then definite it ought to kill her,yet when it replaced into in basic terms universal bread,i imagine she will be able to easily have a abdomen soreness.do not feed her for twenty-four hours and then only a small meal. and do not feed her toddler oil! Sheesh!

it's hard to butter lettuce, and it doesn't melt when you do. Won't stand up to marmalade either
