It is not as much the mileage as much as the speed or the intensity.

If you treat it like a stroll in the park, it may not be that much

You will lose weight but not as much maybe 2-4 pounds but if you only eat fruits salad every day at each meal and wake up in the morning and run 2 miles that would make you lose more weight then bike riding and do the same at 6 pm this should work it worked for me good luck

By using your bike you are using up the energy supplied by the food you ate that day you wont lose weight unless you consume more energy than from what you have eaten that day ~~

It depends on how fast you are riding...if you are riding as if you were late you will lose some weight..if you decrease your calorie intake you will definitely lose a significant amount of weight.
