If Jesus Christ is your Savior, you would know that Jesus raised from the dead, victorious over death for us. And He ascended to the Right hand of God.

This question is what those who mocked Him on the cross asked Jesus.

Read Isaiah 53. A Prophet who prophesied the cross.

Because #1 He had the power to save his own life but #2 He didn't exercise that power so that by laying down his sinless life as a sacrifice for you He could be your Savior if by faith you trust in Him and what God has done for you.

Matthew 26:50 Jesus said to him, "Friend, do what you came to do." Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him. 51 And behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. 52 Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?"

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus called them to him and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Christ died on the cross for us , though he could not only save himself, but also give a fitting reply to the prosecutors. and this is the belief we all have.
Our sense does not unserstand this act , but our faith needs to compensate to understand the act in a better way.
Its only than , one can realise " How Christ is saving our LIFE ??

He COULD have saved His own life. He CHOSE not to. He could have called the angels to save Him or even just made everything stop. He didn't. It's called love. He loved us enough to demonstrate victory over death. He loved us enough to pay the price for OUR sin. He didn't HAVE to do that - He CHOSE to. THAT, my friend, is why Christ is able to be your Saviour and mine, and anyone's who seeks Him.

I think upon actually READING the Scriptures, you would realize that Jesus couldve spared himself from the fate of the cross at any moment. But he chose not to because he had a inborn dedication to living out what God has planned proving that he knows more about God than any of us have ever forgotten.

He could have, but He chose not to resist.

He had the power to instantly turn everyone into coffee grounds and drink them in a cup of joe if He wanted to, but He chose not to resist.

The unimaginable restraint that He had in choosing not to resist was the ultimate demonstration of love to us.

If Christ, who is God in the flesh, can be that humble why can't we be humble and love each other and love God? That's the point.

...Because Jesus came to do God's will, to pay for our sins, so we could be reconciled to God.
...He loved us and sacrificed Himself for us, counting us more important than Himself. You'll never find greater love than His.
...I hope He is your Savior; if not, you're in serious trouble. When you face the Lord, will Jesus be your lawyer or your judge?
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

. . . . . and history repeats itself to this day!
Matthew 27:41-43
41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 42 "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.' "

Christ is your savior because of what you just said, because it took His willingness to sacrifice it all for you to save you from eternal damnation and to obliterate yours and my sins.
It doesn't mean that we can go ahead and sin and forget about it, we must confess it according to our belief.
God bless and know that He loves you enough to die on the cross for you.
