during a crisis, and what do you expect from it?
General Dwight D. Eisenhower said," This is what I found out about religion: it gives you courage to make the decision you must make in a crisis and the confidence to leave the results to a higher Power. Only by trust in God can a man carrying responsibility find repose."

Trust is not easy to come by ! Everytime I've put trust in mankind, they failed to uphold that trust. Trust is having faith in someones ability to be even more than a friend, but someone you KNOW will be there no matter what, right or wrong. Mankind tend to fail in that, but there is ONE that is always reliable, always forgiving, always on your side, even if you are wrong or naive. That ONE is the Lord God Almighty !!! The more I find out about Him, the more my faith in Him increases. Through the bad times He has always been there for me. Through my ignorance, He has been there for me. When it seemed to me I was alone, and forsaken, He yet was there. The Lord has proved Himself strong in my behalf throught my life, and my faith and trust in Him increases daily,.

PEACE...

You can call it religion but that's not how I see it. It's a relationship. How does a religion equal a relationship? I have been through religion before so I don't think I can agree with the way you have defined it.

God is the only one I can trust because God hasn't failed me where as human beings have. People can turn their backs on you but God will never turn his back on you.

He's the friend that sticks closer then a brother.

Proverbs 18:24
24 A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

When a person sticks a gun in your face and is going to pull the trigger, if you choose to pray to god instead of acting to preserve your life, you increase your chances of dying by 100%.

It's that simple. Life and death is not doled out by an invisible sky fairy, and countless police, firemen, soldiers and warriors who deal with life and death each day will attest to this. First and foremost, they trust EACH OTHER to keep each other alive.

I trust in Karma and the compassion of the Divine. I have learned you can't trust your fellow man. The material world is only temporary. I trust the Divine nature in the universe.
