I think there are some who are confused about your question. You graduated high school. Because you graduated, you received a grant will pay for two years of college. You failed your first semester. You did not go the second semester. You want to go back, but do not know if you can get the grant again?

If so-
If it was a pell grant (federal grant) it is based on your financial need. They assess that every year depending on your income and the cost of tuition at the school of your choice. I am not sure if you have that kind of grant. IF that is what you have. You will be on 'probation' next semester. At the end of that semester, if you fail a class, they will not give you another grant.

You really need to talk to fin. aid advisor at the school. They are the only ones that can truly help you. They can look up what kind of grant you have, if you can use it, and if you can't use it they will be able to help you make your next move in getting a different kind of grant or other aid.

The grant that you mentioned is called the Pell Grant. You can get it back, but you have to first retake the courses you failed the first time if you are not at the satisfactory progress GPA level for your academic standing. If you took it at a 4 year university, you might want to consider taking them at the local community college which will cost less. It might mean taking a student loan to cover the tuition and books for the semester though. I will include some reading on the subject.

Pell grants are available by filing a FAFSA and enrolling at an accredited college. Eligiblity is based on family income.

If you can enroll in a community college, and you meet the income caps, you should be eligible for a pell grant, even if you don't graduate from high school.

I would suggest that you talk to the finacial aid officer at the college you are attending. To get a pell grant you have to have a 2.5 grade point avg and demonstrate a financial need. If you are failling your classes you need to see if your school offers tutoring. Then you need to ask yourself why are u failing? Are studing enough or do u think your major is boring u to death. you may need to change majors if thats the case.Oh and dont let anyone pressure u into college unless u really want an education other wise u are wasteing money and time!!!!!!!!

You failed the first semester and this semester you didn't go at all. That sounds like you aren't going to graduate high school this year, to me.
