Absolutely!!

Abraham had faith that God knew what He was doing, and that God wouldn't have him kill his son for no reason.

I have the same faith. God knows what He is doing, and when He wants me to do something, I will do it.

Whom am I to question God?

God Bless.

I am glad for the faith of Abraham. Thank God, God provided the sacrifice for our sins. Abraham knew God would keep His promise so knew also that God would raise up Isaac from the dead to keep His Promise because Isaac Is the Son of Promise. (But Isaac wasn't without sin.) Sacrificing children to gods was done by other peoples & it is an act that grieves God. I think one of the reasons Jesus had to die on the cross, because the killing of innocent is the worst sin mankind has done.

No one can say what they would do in Abrahams shoes, because none of us are going to ever have that asked of us, except to dedicate our children to the Lord. Or our child may be murdered or die early.

God sent His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish but will have ever lasting life. God provided the Lamb of God without blemish, once & for all.

Jesus raised from the dead, victorious over death because He Is without sin.

Sure, because just like Abraham I would have faith that God could raise my son from the dead just like God did with his own son Jesus of whom Isaac was a type pointing ahead to the perfect sacrifice that God in his grace and mercy would provide for all who will believe on Him.

Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

Well, if God told you that your 17 year old son suffering from Aids or Lymphoma could merit salvation for someone else...wouldn't you consent and "sacrifice" him to the disease? What if 100 souls could be saved by that son's enduring either one of those ravaging diseases? What if the illness was the way to re-uniting that young man's father and his long-estranged brother after 40 years of mutual animosity? It would be the fruit of the young man's suffering....

Unfortunately, my faith is not that strong. However, God does give the grace to bear such burdens.

When God asked Him to do that,,if you look at Jesus going to the cross like a lamb,,God was showing Him the pains He had to take having His son die at the cross..Abraham was about to be a Father of many nations...He had to know what was before Him...
Living in that world as they did,I couldn't say...I know one thing when they heard God they heard Him...He spoke so clear to them because He was all they had...These people in that time didn't have all the noise we have today,,if you could take all that away I know you would hear from the Lord clearly and know what He has called you to do...

Absolutely not.

If you read the story of Abraham, you'd see that they guy exhibits ALL the symptoms of schizophrenia. (Hearing voices, hallucinations, etc.) In this day and age, if someone told you that God told them to kill their son, you'd have them locked up. You would never, for one instant, believe that God actually DID tell the guy to kill his son. (Even if He DID retract at the last second and say that it was just a test.) Considering you wouldn't believe a guy you met now who told you that, then WHY would you believe some guy that lived 2000 years ago that you never met?

3 years ago, I wouldnt have but now YES if God told me to, then I would and He would see my faith and trust in Him like He did with Abraham. He tests us all the time, but alot of us dont know it. He puts us through things to see how strong our faith really is and I'm glad He does...Its just made me a stronger Christian!

Abraham didn't. Read the story again from beginning to end. He was willing to though.
Would I? It is to easy to say yes or no, I don't know what I would do.

I don't know. I'm not Abraham. I haven't experienced the same things that he had and God doesn't talk to me like
he did with Abraham.

If I had a god, the minute he asked for a human sacrifice, I'd KNOW that it wasn't worth worshiping.

The idea that it was all a test just shows what an a$$hole it was.
