Hi dear!
I'm 17, and a guy.
Hey, I'm still a virgin too! I have had my girlfriend for about 3 years now, and of course we talk about sex all the time and we do things that are close to it, for example oral sex etc. But we are abstaining from intercourse until we feel absolutely in love with each other.

If you're scared, you just have to wait for the right person to come along, a person which makes you feel comfortable and safe, someone who appreciates you for who you are, not just your appearance.

If you think that you'll be a virgin forever, well that just depends on you.

As I don't know if you're male of female I can't help you any more, but I do hope that everything turns out OK!

First off, your 16. you shouldn't worry about subjects as this. You have your whole life to look forward and your moment of "love-making" will come around when the right boy comes. For now, just be a kid. Your only a teen once, then you gotta face hard reality and responsibility.

Secondly, Your being too scared because your over-analyzing everything. When the time comes, just let it flow naturally. Don't critique things, let things roll as time traverses. It may be scary the first time, sure, but you might even feel a little excitement when your with the boy that you have passionate feelings for.

Sex is not a scary thing, but it can be intimidating. If you're uncomfortable, just take things slow. Eventually you will either deal with your fear, or you will find a person that you don't have that reaction with. You're very young, so don't worry about rushing into anything yet. When you're ready it will happen already.

You just aren't ready. That doesn't have to be a bad thing. We all go at our own pace, and you should continue going at your own. Don't let anyone pressure you into anything. Like I had my first alcoholic beverage at 24. When I was 21 and even 22 just the thought of drinking made me nervous and sick to my stomach. The fact was. . . . I just wasn't ready. Don't worry. You won't be a virgin forever. It's just not your time to do the Big deed.

Well, I don't think it gets any better with time, if only you get more and more desperate.

You should not think about it, just be prepared for when it actually happens (a.k.a. condoms, pills, whatever) because if you just keep it within your mind it will haunt you and consume you leaving nothing behind but a heavily traumatized, unhappy and unsatisfied person.

Sex is something to enjoy (with proper care) not something you HAVE to do forcefully just because society tells you to (think about it, that fear very probably comes from the fact that you feel horny and you've been told by your peers the only way to satisfy that desire is through intercourse)

If your scared about sex, then just don't go there. if you have a boyfriend or are on a date, let him know up front that you would like to take it slow and get to know him first. Kissing someone should be a wanted pleasure, nothing to be anxious about. When you are ready you shouldn't be scared. It should be an anticipated, eager moment. Good luck and take your time to meet and make friends first.

Jeez. You're only 16. It must seem like it's as old as you have ever been, but really.

Hint. You will be a completely different person when you're 25.
