Is it because of their mass-population mind control techniques like telling mothers that their babies won't go to heaven unless the mothers are part of the church so that the mothers can tithe (everything, especially when it comes to sex rules and making more infant mind slaves for the Pope, revolves around tithing)?
Is it the mass murder throughout the ages?
Is it the other murders that are not so well known like when somebody dies during a schizophrenia-based exorcism?
Is it the scams that involve the Virgin Mary appearing on a taco?
Is it the logical fallacies used instead of rationality?
Is it the endless sex scandals between lecherous priests and little boys?
Is it the spare-the-rod-spoil-the- child mentally of letting closet-lesbian, child-hating nuns raise children, who are celibate except when sexually abusing the children?
Is it the charity for profit and fame?

Is it the sanctimonious aura and hypocrisy and heels-firmly-planted-in-the-dirt willful ignorance?
Is it the pope's stupid hat?
Is it that this current pope looks like a movie villain and was a former nazi (yeah, yeah, he renounced it… YEAH RIGHT)
Is it how kissy-kissy they were with the Bush Administration up until like 2 seconds ago.
Is it that the media shoves every B.S. statement the church makes down my throat until I'm numb?

Catholic bashing has gone on for 2,000 years and will probably continue until Christ comes again. I guess the longer you've been around the more mistakes you're likely to make and the criticism to go along with it. It doesn't take much to figure out why the Catholic Church takes a lot of pounding from the secular media. They are a huge Christian Church with a voice and moral values that are getting in the way of a non-Christian agenda. The evangelicals get a pounding too, especially come election time.

Hello,
In reading your question I feel your anger. I am Catholic and understand where you are comming from. The Catholic Church has commited many horrible acts and will have to answer for them. God will deal with them in his time!
My answer to you is: Confirm anything the church teaches with the Bible. For if it is written than it is so. The church has made so many of it's own rules and has strayed so far from what God really expects out of us and left the Bible behind. The Church has allowed so many occult practices into its traditions that the people are confused.
As far as your comment about tithe. God says we are to pay 10percent of what ever we make to celebrate the Lords provisions (Deut. 14:22-26), to support the Levites (Deut.14:27; Num. 18:20-24), and to provide for the poor (Deut14:28-29). All churches I have ever been apart of request this and talk about it a lot. They have to. Next time your in church watch what people offer. A $1.00? A church can not spread the Good News without funds. Even Jesus was supported. It takes money to keep things running. The Catholic church does so much good with the funds it does get...at least mine does. We have weekly soup kitchens and project for the poor and needy.
I think the reason people see the Virgin Mary appearing on tacos is they are in need of a real and personal relationship with the Lord that they are desperate.
Exorcism are a neccessary part of being a Christian. Jesus cast out demons in the beginning of his teachings, (Matt 4:23). Jesus also shows in (Matt 9:2) that illness can come from sin in our lives. Not all illness but some.
Okay, for your "Sex Rules" comment. The rules are 1. No sex outside of marriage. This means no foreplay, no gay sex, no sex of anykind. 2. You will not have sex with anyone other than your mate. I think it's pretty simple.
So, why don't you keep it simple for yourself. If God does not say it is so in the Bible than its not so. Keep Jesus close to your heart and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Pray, God hears you. Find your self a good Bible Teaching Church. Get away from the whole Catholic bit and find your relationship with the Lord and feel his presence in your life. He loves you and so do I.
May God Bless you Greatly!

I'm reading about the reformation. Did you know the Catholics banned the Bible from everyone that was not a monk or priest in the 1500's AD? They burned Bibles and every person that wanted to know and read the scriptures. They killed 700 people in Geneva alone. The priests would hunt and kill those protesting the antics of the church by day and dress as military men and night and drink, dance, use prostitutes and every debauchery imaginable. Check out William Farrel- He would climb into the pulpit with the priests and tell the truth to the parishioners while the priest tried to shut him down- we need that today in our apathetic churches I say.

If that is not your religion, then you should ignore them. If that IS your religion, then you should change. Period. It simply isn't your business what other churches believe and worship, and your diatribe proves without a doubt that you aren't the brightest bulb in the chandelier anyway, so personally I won't base many of my opinions on your observations.
If you are over 14 years old, you should be ashamed for being so ignorant and bigoted. If you are younger than 14, you are just a brat.
I am NOT a Roman Catholic, but fortunately know more about the Church and religion than you do.

Great way of putting it. I totally agree. But I'm OK with letting others do as they see they need to. But I'll never be Catholic....for all the good reasons you listed.

Everything about Our Lady points straight back to the Father, Whose faithful daughter she is; to the Son, Whose mother she is; and to the Holy Ghost Who overshadowed her. There is no one in all of History whose relationship with God is as complex, fulfilled, and achingly beautiful as Mary's. She is not only the greatest of Saints, she is our Mother, as Jesus is our Brother and Savior. In honoring her, we honor Him -- and imitate Him, as we are admonished to both honor our parents and imitate Christ, Who loved His Mother. Our relationship with Mary is that of a child to a blessed Mother who was given to us as Jesus gave her to John at the Cross. She is our spiritual Mother (Revelation 12:17 -- And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ), and she wants to pray for us.
Hail, Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.

All your statements are reasons to watch what they say.
My question is: Is the church relevant to your life at all?
