you would have to eat a lot of fruit and veggies to get in all calories you need. you would lose muscle since not getting any protein.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

You can live off of it, however, you won't be feeling too great for a few days into it. If you're already a vegetarian/vegan, it's an easier conversion than if you eat meats and fish for proteins. Fruits and vegetables are lacking in the number of proteins and amino acids provided by meats. You can take protein and amino supplements and it'll help. Losing weight should be done by using a smart diet, higher protein, lower carbs, more exercise with your heart rate in the 65% - 75% max zone. Take 220 and subtract your age. From that total, multiply it by .65 and .75 to find your range. That is the range which will help your body start breaking down fats for energy during exercise. If you can do something to get your heart rate up for 20-30 minutes a day, 3 times a week, you'll be good. That and a good diet with a lower caloric intake will help you lose weight safely.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

You would live most likely as long as you drank fluids but you would feel weak most likely . Crash diets are not a good idea as most people that do them tend to gain the weight back.
Even though it's slower, stick to a normal diet. Eat low- fat heathy options along with exercise
