I would go to America for college. I am in freshman in college right now, but i went to high school with many boarding students from Britain who complained about their college system. Many complained that the UK colleges were too individualized and left little room for exploration. American colleges tend to be cheaper then U.K colleges. I would also like to say that college is a great time to be away from you family. It is truly the time to become your own person. Sometimes to get the most out of something, you have to put yourself away from those close to you. It can be hard! Trust me! But I only see my family for school vacations and I feel more adapted then people who go home every weekend. I would say a good medium would go to school in the U.S and take a year or semester abroad in the UK. This way you get to experience both. Good luck on your college search! :)

most defintly america for college, but britian if you have the need for any sort of entertaining life.
i just moved form London 2 years ago, i lived there for 2 years.
though colleges in america are nice, real good, and cheaper than britians, britain is a heck of a better place to live than the states.
i am just anxious to complete my degree and head back over to the UK or europe somewhere because america is a bore.

Britain has the benefit of opening you the doors to the EU. I prefer the UK (l´ve lived in both).

It's always nice to be around family, but you are still young and you may want to be adventurous so the states have great schools.

Oh, why not go for broke......
A flat in London and a casita in Palm Springs. That way you can spend the summer in London and the winter in the lovely California desert.

UK ...they have socialized medicine. USA, you're up a creek without a canoe--nobody cares about you.
Pay is also better in UK. It's gotta be better than USA. Only problem is statistically, UK has more Arabs per square mile than USA has.
